the location might have some potential, but the overall experience was dampened by the owner barging into my room early without knocking. absolutely outrageous! not to mention, nearly falling down the stairs at night because there are no lights. considering the price, i simply expected a higher standard, maybe a complimentary gift to make up for it. but, alas, nothing. unbelievable!

The owner was overly intrusive and made us feel unwelcome. We struggled with the lack of basic amenities like a fridge and decent coffee options. At night, the dark house left us using flashlights to navigate, which was quite unsettling.

I loved the spacious double room with a lovely balcony, which offered breathtaking views of the lake. Every morning, sipping coffee on that balcony while soaking in the scenery was a highlight. Laura, the host, was incredibly welcoming, making my stay feel personal and special. The bed was very comfy, ensuring restful nights. However, the room could benefit from better lighting. the sheer curtain let in too much light during the night, making it challenging for light-sensitive sleepers. Overall, the property had a warm atmosphere, but some basic amenities, like a fridge, would have made my stay more comfortable. I would return for the beautiful views and Laura's hospitality.

I truly enjoyed my stay, especially the breathtaking views from my room and the proximity to Varenna's restaurants and coffee shops, all just a few steps away. you can even stroll to the beautiful Il Giardino Botanico in under 10 minutes for a delightful afternoon walk.
